The fastest guitarist in the history of music was born on July 24, 1999, in Rome, Italy.

Davide Lo Surdo, capable of playing 129 notes per second, was recognized by Rolling Stone Brazil magazine as the fastest guitarist in the history of music. Lo Surdo has announced a tour of Cuba with performances at the island’s most prestigious events.

In statements to Prensa Latina news agency, the third secretary of Cultural Affairs of the Cuban Embassy in Italy, Alejandro Betancourt, said that the historic guitarist will perform at the International Tourism Fair FitCuba 2024, to be held in Jardines del Rey, from May 2 to 5. He will also perform at the Cubadisco 2024 event in Havana from May 11-15, with a performance at Maxim Rock on May 12. This is part of the tour organized by EBM WORLD Cuba with the sponsorship of: TravelNet Cuba, Color Travels, the Italian Agency “Comunque Viaggi,” and Paolo Montecchiari.

After his upcoming tour of Cuba, one of the guitars used by the guitarist Davide Lo Surdo will be permanently preserved in the National Museum of Music in the Cuban capital, Havana. This recognition further confirms the contribution of the famous Italian guitarist to eternity.

Last year, his Signature guitar, model DLS1, was permanently given to an American museum of historical instruments called “Sigal,” where instruments played by Mozart and Chopin are also kept. Lo Surdo was also included in the important music history book “Rock Memories 2” alongside legends such as the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix and John Lennon.
